Abstract
The aim of the current research is to analyze the most prominent social and economic factors associated with pandemics; To build a proposed conceptualization of a study unit using Referential activity in the course Social Studies for the twelfth grade in the Sultanate of Oman, and the research sample was the analysis of this course using the Referential activity analysis method. In light of the results of the analysis , a proposed conception for a study unit was developed in this Social Studies course for the twelfth grade in the Sultanate of Oman, which included the goal of the proposed Unit and its dimensions. The unit’s objectives, and four lessons, the first: the concept of pandemics and their history, the second: the characteristics of pandemics, the third: the social and economic repercussions associated with pandemics, and the fourth: mechanisms to combat the social and economic repercussions of pandemics, and behavioral objectives for each lesson, and in light of Results of the study A number of recommendations were formulated
