Abstract

Research title: (Positions of reciters and researchers regarding Imam Al-Shatibi's additions to At-Tayseer and his choices between acceptance and rejection), this research aims to: To study the concept of each of Al-Shatibi’s additions to At-Tayseer book ,by Al-Dani, and the writings of the late scholars about it, clarifying the benefits of each, detailing the types of additions, and the positions of the scholars at his time regarding it, especially his students, as well as the positions of late scholars, and clarifying the drawbacks to those writings, and the reasons for the difference of commentators and writers of verses about it.
Their positions varied from additions and writings about it, as for the additions: The earlier scholars have never prevented reading by it, except rarely, and in special places on which they unanimously agreed on it. As for the late scholars, they rejected it and forbade reading by it. As for the writings about it: The late scholars wrote in them poem books, including nearly a thousand verses, they prevented readers to read many additions from it, contrary to the doctrine of Al-Shatibi and his students and the commentators of Al-Shatibiah from scholars of his time, and after them until the tenth century AH, and they are on three positions, who opposing the writings, supporting them in whole and in detail, and in between acceptance and rejection.
One of the outcomes of the research was the appearance of difference in the terminological concept of Al-Shatibi's additions on At-Tayseer, by Al-Dani, between the contemporary scholars of Al-Shatibi and those who followed him to the tenth Hijri year, and among those who came later, i.e. the scholars from the tenth Hijri century to the present time, and there is confusion among the writers of the Shatibi verses between the optional discretionary additions of Al-Shatibi, and between what is unanimously rejected, which scholars have realized that he was wrong about it.
