Abstract
This study aims at identifying the professional needs of the school leaders in Al-Mahra governorate in the Yemen Republic in The Light of Contemporary Trends. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used descriptive analytical methodology, and a society of all school principals and agents is the general public education in the governorate of Al-Mahra for the year 1438/ 1439 AH. (312) of whom (158) managers and (154) agents. The study sample consisted of the entire study population. The study tool consisted of (79) words distributed in six fields. After conducting the appropriate statistical analysis, the study reached the following results: The need of the school leadership for professional development came at a medium level in general and as follows: Leadership, technical affairs and administrative need were high. The local community, human relations and student affairs were medium. There were no statistically significant differences in the average responses of school leaders due to gender and job title.
