Abstract

This study examines the role of civil society organizations in the development of local communities, , The study aimed to identify the current situation of those organizations, and there strengths and weaknesses , To show there role in society, and the interventions necessary to revitalize role of those organizations and associations , this study Used a sample social survey method, and direct observation, questionnaire, and personal interviews, the study sample consisted of (7) Association and civil society organization. Results of the study: there is a gap between some associations and civil society, and there are associations and organizations been established mainly for specific purposes to meet the developmental programs selected, and tan stopped these associations, and the presence of the experiences of developmental precedent did not succeed, coz it doesn't subject to evaluation and study before the start of such activities, and the lack of understanding the nature and traditions of those communities, which offer such programs and activities for the failure.
