      The study aimed to investigate the role of Strategic Leadership in building Intellectual Capital at Yemeni Private Universities in the Capital, Sana'a (YPUS). The descriptive and analytical approach was conducted, and the study population was consisted of (461) academic and administrative leaders at YPUS. A questionnaire was relied on, as the main tool, to collect the required data. A stratified random sampling of (210) individuals was selected. The data analysis, by using appropriate statistical methods, exhibited a number of conclusions, the most important of which were the following: 1) A positive role of Strategic Leadership in building Intellectual Capital at YPUS, 2) A great interest in Strategic Leadership with all dimensions at YPUS, the Core Capabilities dimension got the highest rank of existence between all and followed by the Strategic Orientation dimension, while the Human Capital Development dimension was the least, 3) A great interest in Intellectual Capital at YPUS which is the basis of its structure, and the essence of its establishment and strategic orientation. The study reached out to a number of recommendations, the most important of which were: Continuing to apply the Strategic Leadership.
