Abstract

The study aimed to discussing the strategic planning skills among the owners of small and medium enterprises and their role in entrepreneurship, and focused on strategic analysis skills for the project work environment, skills for setting project goals, planning skills for project business growth, short and long-term planning skills, as independent variables, and entrepreneurship as dependent variable. The results at significance level of (a≤0.05) were confirming the existence of correlation and role between the strategic analysis skills of the project work environment and the entrepreneurship in small and medium enterprises in the State of Kuwait. It became clear that there was a correlation and role between the skills for setting the goals of project and entrepreneurship; correlation and role between planning skills for project business growth and entrepreneurship, short and long-term planning skills and entrepreneurship at a significant level of (a≤0.05). Among the most important suggestions of the study was the necessity of presenting various programs and workshops in the areas of strategic planning and entrepreneurship from the government institutions, inaugurating a professional incubator specializing in the strategic planning and entrepreneurship that provides all the required support to the owners of small and medium projects, establishing a national platform to broadcast materials and electronic media related to refining the capabilities and skills of entrepreneurs and setting up a national database and information that provides all the information support for the owners of small and medium projects in preparation of their project plans.
