Abstract
The study aimed to examining the role of knowledge management in achieving the institutional excellence in Kuwaiti international companies, and focused on the organizational knowledge management, functional human knowledge management and customer knowledge management as independent variables, and the institutional excellence as a dependent variable. The results at the significance level of (a≤0.05) were demonstrating the presence of a correlation and role between the organizational knowledge management and institutional excellence in Kuwaiti international companies. It was clear that there was a correlation and role between the functional human knowledge management and institutional excellence in Kuwaiti international companies; correlation and role of customer knowledge management in Kuwaiti international companies at significance level of (a≤0.05). Among the most important suggestions of the study was the necessity of setting an effective training plan to spread the culture of knowledge management and institutional excellence at all levels of companies in terms of organizational and human aspects, developing such an integrated strategic plan for knowledge management that includes the dimensions of organizational knowledge, human knowledge and customer related knowledge, with identification of the interim goals and executive plans that international companies could enhance the practicing of which in the areas of knowledge management, activation of the leadership role to support the knowledge management procedures and institutional excellence, and provision of an appropriate environment to activate the capabilities and results of institutional excellence.
