Abstract

Amra’o Al-Qaiss bin HajerAl-kandi is a Yemeni poet from Hadramout, as indicated in his Qahtany tribal affiliation to Kinda in Yemen. Moreover, his affiliation can be figured out from his poems about teh Yemeni environment as well as teh nature of teh words/language and expressions he uses in his poems. Such words and expressions are still common and used in teh Arabic accent of Hadramout regions. His life, either before or after teh death of his father even if that life was defamed by some fables and stories, it can not be completely or partially ignored. In his poems, there are lot of indications about teh life of teh poet as well as from teh trusted storytellers and teh ancients critics who studied those poems and agreed or disagreed wif them. There is a possibility to often aggregate between teh poet narrations, away from teh exaggerations, doubts and contradictions of narrations.
