Abstract

This study aimed at finding out the role of kindergarten teachers in developing the values among the children in Mukalla by answering the following question " what is the role of kindergarten teachers in developing the values among children?" To achieve the aim of the study , the researcher has constructed a questionnaire on two major field which are subcategorized into minor field: (the religious values, the ethical values, cultural values, and the social values). The study sample consist of 50 kindergarten teachers distributed in 5 kindergartens. The finding revealed that the religious values were the most prevailing among the children in contrast with the cultural values which get the lowest arrange. The study recommends that the kindergarten teachers pay more attention to Child Drama as it represents one of the effective methods of developing values. Besides, there should be special care paid the children library in Mukalla by providing it with stories with pictures.
