Abstract

This research aims to identify the extent to which the Kuwait Fund for Development & Promotion of Small and Medium Businesses is able to resolve the funding of SME projects and the challenges that accompanied the previous experiment that did not last. Consequently, the success of this national fund highly depends on how it is managed in relation to the guidelines and requirements for funding and the process that the fund will implement in financing these projects to their advancement through appropriate investment climate for growth. This research is significant through the provision of perceptions to develop sources of funding to meet all the requirements and the needs of those SME projects in order to achieve effective contribution to national employment in work directed towards private rather than government workers, which has become a huge financial burden on the state budget. Also, this research looks for specialized methods and financing solutions that are supposed to be adopted by the National fund for the care and development of SMEs. A number of methods and recommendations have been presented through this research to ease the process of funding.
