Abstract
This study focuses on the border disputes, especially the Chinese, Indian, Azerbaijani and Armenian conflicts. The study sheds light on knowing the borders' functions and trends as well as the reasons for those disputes and the positions and justifications of the parties that are intervened to support one of these parties.
The study reaches to the conclusion that there is a difference in the reasons and motives for raising those disputes and the tools used by each party to resolve the border dispute. It shows, as well, the difference in the motives for the intervention of the supporting parties, one against the other.
