Abstract

      This research aims to know the reality of practicum in the faculties of education at the University of Sana’a, and to build a proposed conception of practical education in the light of modern global experiences. The descriptive approach was followed to achieve the aim of the research, using a questionnaire and applying it to a random sample of fourth-level students in the Faculties of Education, Sana'a, and Khawlan for 170 male and female students. Many modern educational experiences of a number of Arab and foreign countries were also reviewed, and then it was concluded that the participants in practicum perform their roles at an average level, where all axes of the study obtained a percentage of (62.425%), with an average grade. The supervisor’s guiding roles came first with a percentage of (64.9%), with an average degree, followed by the roles of the cooperating teacher (63%), followed by the roles of the school principal (62.2%), and the supervisor’s evaluative roles came in the last rank with (59.6%). A proposed conception of practicum was also reached in the light of recent global experiences
