Abstract

Scientific research is considered one of the most important resources of development in all societies. The reality of Yemeni women in scientific research is still not clear. The academic researcher in the field of information technology is more interested in scientific research than what is needed for additional skills. The presence of academic researchers in the field of information technology is also diminishing in international scientific conferences, scientific journals, as well as academic networks that work to share research worldwide. This research aims at evaluating the skills of the Yemeni academic researchers in the field of information technology to identify the challenges and difficulties of developing these skills, which helps the presence of these researchers in the forums of scientific conferences - local and international - and the presence of their research in scientific journals and academic networks. The random number was 43 researchers. The results showed the weakness of research skills of most female researchers, as well as the lack or limited presence in international conferences and scientific journals, and that the most important difficulties are English and economic and social conditions. On the other hand, the results showed the researchers' confidence in themselves and in their ability to develop and progress. Research a set of recommendations that will raise the skills of female researchers and support their ambition.
