Abstract

This research carried out on farm in the north of the city of Al-qaten, which mediates the Hadhramout valley (Yemen), during the agricultural seasons 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 in order to study the effect of nitrogen fertilization on wheat productivity.

Were planted wheat (Triticum Aestivum.L)" Kalyansona" class and applied with nitrogen fertilizer (Urea 46%) to experience three levels (100, 140, 180) kg N/ha in two equal batches, the first month after planting and the second after the tow months and control (zero kg N/ha).

The number of repeaters in the experiment four replications according to split plot design randomized complete system.

The results showed after statistical analysis outweigh all transactions fertilization morally on the treatment of the witness in plant height, number of spikes /m2 , grain yield and production of chaff yield in the two growing seasons.

The application of nitrogen fertilizer in averages 180 kg N /ha and 140 kg N /ha caused significant increase for two seasons in a row in each of the grain weight and spike in the number of grains in the spike.

When the weight of a thousand pills given treatment 100 kg N /ha higher results with a relative increase between them and the rest of the transactions without a witness at both growing seasons.
