يدور موضوع البحث حول الحماية المدنية لحقوق المؤلف في النظام السعودي حيث يهدف الباحث من خلاله إلى بيان وتوضيح الحقوق المترتبة للمؤلف وشروطها ووسائل حمايتها، ودراسة أهم الحقوق الأدبية والمالية المتعلقة بحقوق المؤلف.
وقد اتبع الباحث المنهج التحليلي من خلال استقراء نصوص الأنظمة في المملكة، وقد وجد أن المملكة ولله الحمد تواكب التقدم المتسارع الخطى والعولمة التي تنظم العالم اليوم، من خلال بلورة كثير من المبادئ العامة المنظمة للملكية الفكرية في القوانين الدولية والسوابق القضائية والاتفاقيات الدولية، وجعلها في أنظمة وطنية بما لا يخالف مبادئها وقيمها الراسخة، ومن أبرز النتائج التي تم التوصل إليها بأنه يجب أن يكون المصنف مبتكراً ليتم حمايته، فلا يتمتع المصنف بالحماية إذا لم يتوفر فيه عنصري الأصالة والإبداع.

Abstract
The subject of the research revolves around the civil protection of copyright in the Saudi system, through which the researcher aims to explain and clarify the rights accruing to the author, their conditions and means of protection, and to study the most important moral and financial rights related to copyright.
The researcher followed the analytical approach by extrapolating the texts of the regulations in the Kingdom, and he found that the Kingdom, praise be to God, is keeping pace with the rapid progress and globalization that regulates the world today, by crystallizing many of the general principles regulating intellectual property in international laws, judicial precedents, and international agreements, and making them into systems. patriotic in a way that does not contradict its established principles and values, One of the most prominent results reached is that the work must be innovative in order to be protected. The work does not enjoy protection if it does not contain the elements of originality and creativity.
