Abstract

In this paper we will review the structure of distributed databases as well as the advantages and disadvantages of distributed databases, building strategies, methods of dealing with queries and the need to improve distributed databases to become more important as they discuss some aspects and security problems such as synchronization control, construction costs and expensive development. The security issues of multi-party databases, in this paper proposed structure of the forecasting unit for the purposes of the query where the purpose of this module to improve the protection of sensitive databases.

Keywords: Availability, Synchronization, Distributed Database, Replication, Independence, Complexity.

  1. Introduction

Sensitive data is data that the organization fears unauthorized access to it. Since 1998,centralized data base management systemhas become a matterof the past. Even though, distribution has been improved gradually, many organizations have moved to distributed databases. In the older orientation, the focus of distribution was mainly on the functionality not on the data. According to [1], distributed database is a collection of databases which are distributed and then stored on multiple computers (otherwise called sites) within a network. That is implies that, each site participating in the distributed database should havea local autonomy. All sites participating in the distributed database have local autonomy in the sense that the database at each site has full control over itself in terms of managing the data. Also each site can connect and disconnect whenever required. According to [2], distributed database management system allows local users to access the data remotely after establishing the connection. The fundamental principle of the distributed database is, each database in the distributed system must have a unique global database name in the network domain. This unique global name identifies a database server in a distributed system[3]. Which means that, users have access to the database at their location, thus they can access the data relevant to their tasks without interfering with others work. The distributed database system technology is a combination of two technologies of data processing, namely, database system technologies and computer network technologies. Researchers have defined distributed database differently, which means there is no unified definition, but they are agreed to be made up of a database and computer networks [5]

  1. a) A logically interconnected group of shared data, physically distributed in a computer network.
  2. b) The distributed database system is a database stored on several different computers, which are in different locations and related to each other by network.
  3. c) A single logical database that spreads physically on computers in multiple locations and which are linked by a link from data connections.

We can know it as a set of data, distributed on different computer networks, each site has the ability to process independently and can implement local applications..
